Blackbaud Acquires Education Software Company WhippleHill

Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB) recently blackbaud-whipplehill-logosacquired WhippleHill Communications, Inc., a New Hampshire-based, education software company that uses its innovative, cloud-based solutions to exclusively serve K12 private schools. Blackbaud invested $35 million in this latest addition to its full spectrum of cloud-based and on-premise software solutions and related services to nonprofits of all types.

WhippleHill announced the acquisition on its website, stating, “Blackbaud and WhippleHill both share a passion for helping schools achieve success as they work to serve families, faculty, alumni, and other constituents effectively. And together, with our combined front office and back office solutions, we now have the power to truly offer you the whole school connected.”

It provided seamless pathways for schools to manage information and communicate with their content management, student information management, enrollment management and learning management solutions.

The WhippleHill organization will merge with Blackbaud’s existing K12 education solutions group, forming an expanded team dedicated to K12 private schools. Travis Warren, WhippleHill’s former President and Founder, heads up the new group and reports to Kevin Mooney, Blackbaud’s President of General Market Business Unit.
