Charleston based Capital A Partners recently announced its new investment in the launch of Alchemy Global – the first Sports and Entertainment-focused crowdfunding platform for accredited investors. Capital A Partners joins a group of successful athletes and financial executives including Greg Norman, Jim Courier and Boris Becker as investors in the firm.
Formed in 2013, Capital A Partners invests in post-revenue early stage ventures as well as small operating companies seeking growth capital.
“CAP A’s access to investment opportunities in this sector, as well as their growing global footprint, is very strategic to Alchemy’s growth plans,” commented Andy Brusman, CEO of Alchemy Global.
Alchemy Global is an investment platform that partners with athletes and entertainers. It caters to sophisticated accredited investors seeking investments with the highest quality companies within the sports and entertainment industry. After company selection, they take an active role in growing the companies they work with, creating an environment where company leadership is mentored and groomed for success. They also help bridge the gap between vision and the current state of performance for entrepreneurs and startups. With headquarters in Charleston, Alchemy has offices in Portland, Baltimore, New York and London.
“We believe that niche-based crowd funding platforms provide a credible resource for financial support for entrepreneurs. Alchemy Global’s use of the platform to facilitate transactions through its existing network of investors, athletes and celebrities is a winning combination,” stated Tanya Marvin-Horowitz, General Partner at CAP A, and former collegiate athlete and investment banker.
