Designed with the entrepreneur in mind, The Harbor Accelerator is dedicated to building scaleable businesses for the Charleston region. Participants get the chance to not simply write a business plan, but to actually execute their concepts under the mentorship of other successful entrepreneurs.

The Harbor Accelerator program is a 14-week rigorous experience. Each startup is given access to resources, local talent and the ability to test the market quickly and become viable. Startups are led through an intense curriculum that teaches high-impact business concepts with classes led by mentor entrepreneurs. The mentors stand with their selected business as the startups focus on critical elements needed to grow.
The selection process hinges entirely on the commitment level to success that an individual or team holds, as well as the basic business concept. It is open to ideas across all sectors and industries with an understanding of what fits the Charleston region’s business landscape. Understanding that the core competencies for Charleston’s economy lies in Digital, Advanced Security, Aerospace, Healthcare, and Food / Tourism, it is also important to create a business idea that is scaleable and can grow to a national or even world-wide audience.
