Nine Startups Accepted Into Cohort 4 Of Harbor Accelerator

The Harbor Entrepreneur Center accepted nine startups into Cohort 4 of its Harbor Accelerator program. The program began on Monday, August 17th and will run until November 18th of 2015. The startups will present their final pitches at the end of the program on November 18th in a competitive pitch event.

The Harbor Accelerator is a 14-week high intensity “boot camp” for founders of innovative and scalable startup companies from the Charleston region and beyond. Throughout the duration of the program, the startups are provided tremendous resources and support to grow quickly, test the market, and become viable.

The program provides the startups with mentorship by high caliber entrepreneurs, free workspace, weekly curriculum sessions, investor meetups, and multiple opportunities to collide and connect with local talent.

Here are the nine startups accepted into Cohort 4:

•  Scrubzone is an automated hand hygiene machine that sterilizes hands through the combination of anti bacterial soap, water, ultraviolet light and their specially designed bristle brush.

•  HomeTrackr take the mystery out of buying an existing home by providing homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals with easy access to critical information about the history of a home.

•  harborGood is the sharing economy marketplace that scales philanthropy, benefiting causes that matter. Individuals support their favorite cause by donating in-kind goods, services and rentals for sale through the market.

•  Ravi is the most efficient and easy way for sports organizations to enter and report injuries. It allows trainers and coaches to record and follow treatments and athlete healing, and allows athletes and their families to participate in their own rehabilitation, keeping themselves safe and getting them back on the field more quickly.

•  Porzio’s LLC is a local manufacturer of fresh made pizza and pasta sauce from the Porzio family who came over from Naples, Italy in 1895 and started the first pizzeria in Savannah, Georgia. Their sauce is handcrafted with all natural ingredients that do not contain any added sugars or preservatives for a fresh authentic flavor that is naturally gluten free.

•  SpeedyAdd helps serviced based businesses reduce no-shows, build client retention through text reminders and cost effective marketing capabilities. Reconnect with past clients through recurring follow-up campaigns, build targeted reminders with custom text messages, and incentivize clients with special offers.

•  Pueri Elemental is an award-winning design company specializing in the development, manufacturing and distribution of innovative consumer products for kids and adults. Pueri’s premiere product is Eco-Bonk®, a plush bop bag collection sold by most major retailers.

•  Hydrow provide teams and rowers with innovative products that will help protect their boats on and off the water, while in the boathouse and travelling to regattas. These include their cut-n-sew protective covers and bags made of World-Cup quality racing sails, and the patent-pending Rigger Guards.

•  MobileMenu is a mobile menu and ordering system that creates a Wi-Fi hotspot allowing customers to connect and place food and drink orders quickly, allowing an interactive experience with the customer from start to finish of the food preparation process.
