SPARC, a Charleston-based software company, announced that SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic selected it to serve as a prime contractor for the Navy ERP PMW 220 Enterprise Business Solutions IPT Technical Operations Support task order. The award is valued at $95 million over three years, and they will partner with four other contractors—IBM, ECS Federal, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Maga Design Group—over this time.
The team’s collective capabilities, combined with senior SAP and ERP subject matter expertise, bring significant capability strengths to the contract.
“Our entire team is honored to continue serving SPAWAR on this important Navy Business Enterprise program,” said Marc Murphy, SPARC CEO. “This project brings together a talented group of partners to ensure the US government can operate the NAVY ERP efficiently and effectively.”
SPARC provides custom software development services for the government and commercial sectors, with a focus on healthcare IT systems, mobile applications, and cloud management solutions. To fulfill this contract, the company will continue to expand its delivery of technical operations sustainment, audit readiness support, engineering change process support, special projects, and knowledge transfer support services for the SAP enterprise resource planning technology.
“This is a critical program that supports the US government’s efforts to utilize the SAP enterprise software platform to improve financial, supply, workforce, procurement, and program management processes,” said Murphy. “Enterprise software development and implementation is a growing area of business for SPARC, and one that continues to increase our SDLC expertise and presence in the expanding ERP market.”
