We’ve Launched Silicon Harbor Jobs: Find a Tech Job in Charleston

Since our launch in 2014, Silicon Harbor Magazine has grown into the region’s premier digital media source entirely focused on the technology, startups, entrepreneurs, and creatives in Charleston’s tech scene.

We’ve profiled founders who transplanted to Charleston to launch their startups, companies who started in Charleston and grew to bigger things, guest posts and interviews with tech leaders in the community, and the big stories on key acquisitions, investments, and partnerships. Our audience has quickly grown beyond Charleston.

Our goal was to build a platform to be the voice of the tech community and broadcast that across the country. A year later, we partnered with the Tech Life Podcast with host Rich Conte to launch Silicon Harbor Radio—a podcast featuring news and interviews with the tech leaders, entrepreneurs and creatives of Charleston. The show’s reach has doubled over the past year, averaging over monthly 5K downloads and 14K downloads in November 2016 alone.

We asked our audience, how else can we provide value to the tech community? They all had one resounding request—JOBS. It’s no secret that there is a growing demand for tech talent in Charleston. The numbers for new tech jobs in the Charleston area are projected to grow by as many as 25,000+ over the next few years.

To answer this need, we’re excited to announce the beta launch of SiliconHarborJobs.com—a hyperlocal job board completely focused on connecting the best candidates with the jobs in Charleston’s tech, startup and creative scene.

Now companies, entrepreneurs, recruiters—basically anyone in Charleston with a need for tech talent and supporting roles—can post and manage their job listings.

Along with the job board, our Job Map feature is laser-focused on pinpointing job openings and their locations on the Charleston grid.

More than just a job board, our Company Spotlights will highlight companies—their culture, core values, perks and benefits, accolades via rich media and content—to pack all their brand awareness into dynamic feature spotlights and deliver them with the job postings.

Now we don’t want the job listings to stay stagnant on the job board. We’ll also be displaying leads to these jobs alongside the content of Silicon Harbor Magazine, through our distribution channels and event partnerships – to broadcast them where the best candidates are.

You can find out more about how Silicon Harbor Jobs can help you make your next connection whether you are a Job Seeker or Employer.

As always, we’d love to hear your feedback so that we can continue to grow as a media platform for Charleston’s tech scene.
