The 2017 Charleston Angel Conference has selected three finalist companies to pitch for the chance to win a 100K investment: Snapp, Citibot, and Jenny’s Gourmet Foods. The Charleston Angel Conference is an event where accredited investors create an entity, engage in due diligence of the applying startup companies, and ultimately an investment will be made into one of the presenting finalists. Following the Screening Day in September, the diligence team has narrowed the twelve presenting companies down to three finalists that will pitch before the public on Thursday, November 15th at 4:00pm. These final presentations will be held at the Charleston Museum on Meeting Street. Each company will receive ten minutes to pitch their business to attendees. The final company chosen to receive this year’s investment will be announced immediately following the final pitches.
At 2:00pm, prior to the Finalist Pitch Presentations, The 8th CoHort of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center’s Accelerator will culminate the program with five minute pitches from the following companies: AWaiver, Brass, Case Status, Collective Force, HERmixer, Interloop, and Taste.
The three finalist companies for Charleston Angel Conference and their missions statements are as follows:
- Citibot : Citibot transforms civic engagement by connecting citizens and government through interactive text messaging and the social media messenger apps. Citizens can quickly find answers to common civic questions as well as report city issues like potholes and broken stoplights. - Snapp: Snapp is a mobile app that enables healthcare providers and teams to communicate better, accurately document work and decisions, and mesh their workflow to maximize efficiency. Designed by healthcare professionals, Snapp drives big results: substantially increasing revenue, freeing up more time for better patient care, and producing more engaged patients and providers.
